Το Σάββατο, 11 Μαρτίου 2017, πραγματοποιήθηκε Ημερίδα Ενημέρωσης για το Erasmus+ έργο ‘SeaofSkills’, το οποίο συντονίζει το Κοινωφελές Ίδρυμα “Μαρία Τσάκος” και έχει ως στόχο την ενδυνάμωση του κλάδου της μικρής παράκτιας αλιείας μέσω της επαγγελματικής εκπαίδευσης και κατάρτισης.

Στην Ημερίδα συμμετείχαν αλιείς, εκπρόσωποι αρμόδιων δημόσιων υπηρεσιών, υπεύθυνοι φορέων εκπαίδευσης ενηλίκων, φοιτητές και πολίτες που ενδιαφέρονται για τις θεματικές ενότητες:  Ασφάλεια στη Θάλασσα, Εξοπλισμός Αλιευτικού Σκάφους, Διαχείριση Ποιότητας Ψυκτικής Αλυσίδας, Αλιεία και Περιβάλλον, Επιχειρηματικότητα.

Το έργο πραγματοποιείται σε συνεργασία με οκτώ φορείς: Ελληνικό Κέντρο Θαλασσίων Ερευνών (ΕΛΚΕΘΕ), Πανεπιστήμιο Αιγαίου, Εμπορικό Επιμελητήριο Χίου, Πανεπιστήμιο της Μάλτας, Πανεπιστήμιο Ege (Τουρκία), AQUATT (Ιρλανδία), “Research and Innovation Strategy Experts- RISE” και το Ισπανικό Εθνικό Συμβούλιο Έρευνας – CSIC (Ισπανία).

On Saturday, 11^th March 2017, a one-day multiplier event took place at our Foundation’s premises in Chios within the framework of the EU funded project “SeaofSkills” (Erasmus+ Programme), which is co-ordinated by the ‘Maria Tsakos’ Public Benefit Foundation and aims at the reinforcement of the small-scale coastal fisheries sector through vocational education and training.

Among the attendees were fishers, representatives of the competent public authorities, vocational education and training providers, students and citizens interested in the modules: Safety at sea, Equipment used on fishing vessels, Cold chain quality management, Fisheries and Environment, Entrepreneurship.

The project is being carried out in co-operation with eight partners: Hellenic Centre for Marine Research, University of the Aegean, Chios Chamber of Commerce, Malta University, Ege University (Turkey), AQUATT (Ireland), “Research and Innovation Strategy Experts – RISE” (Greece) and the Spanish National Research Council – CSIC (Spain).
