Το Σάββατο, 11 Μαρτίου 2017 πραγματοποιήθηκε στην αίθουσα διαλέξεων του Ιδρύματος, ομιλία του δικηγόρου κ. Ηλία Μπίσσια, διευθυντή του περιοδικού “ΝΑΥΤΙΚΑ ΧΡΟΝΙΚΑ”, με θέμα: “Οι Χιώτες, πρωταγωνιστές στα εθνικά και εφοπλιστικά fora, 1946-2016“.

Η εκδήλωση έγινε σε συνεργασία με τον Ροταριανό Όμιλο Χίου. Την ομιλία παρακολούθησαν καθηγητές του Τμήματος Ναυτιλίας, εκπρόσωποι ναυτικών οργανώσεων, ναυτικοί, εκπαιδευτικοί και μέλη του Ροταριανού Ομίλου.

Ο κ. Μπίσσιας συναντήθηκε και μίλησε με τους μαθητές του “Σπιτιού της Μαρίας” που παρακολούθησαν την τελετή, και φωτογραφήθηκε μαζί τους.

Εκ μέρους του Ιδρύματος, δόθηκαν στον κ. Μπίσσια ως δώρο δύο βιβλία: Το βιβλίο της Ιατρού “Μινωϊκή Θαλασσοκρατία” και το “100 Αιώνες Θάλασσα”.

On Saturday, 11th March 2017 at our Foundation’s premises in Chios, Mr. Elias Bissias, solicitor and Director of the “NAFTIKA CHRONIKA” maritime magazine delivered a lecture on “The Chians, protagonists in the national and the maritime fora, during the years 1946-2016“.

The event was co-organized with the Chios Rotary Club. Among the attendees were University Professors from the Department of Shipping, marine organizations’ representatives, seamen, teachers and members of the Rotary Club.

Mr. Bissias met with boarders of “Maria’s Home”, who also attended the event, was photographed with them and had a fruitful conversation.

Mr. Bissias was offered two books as a gift from the Foundation: Dr. Saroglou-Tsakos’ book entitled “Minoan Thalassocracy” and “100 Centuries at Sea”.
